The National Football League: different standards and discrimination against Blacks?

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb seems to think so.

In an interview for a regionally-televised sports show in Philadelphia, McNabb said White quarterbacks do not get criticized as much as he does.

According to McNabb, Black quarterbacks are not desired.

So are there different standards for Blacks quarterbacks in the NFL? Well, to begin, McNabb was addressing the same topic that conservative commentator Rush Limbaugh had once tried to address. In 2003, Limbaugh suggested that, if McNabb were to perform at the same level as the best White quarterbacks in the League, he'd be the media's darling because the media wants to push Black quarterbacks and fight the stereotype against them.

In the end, McNabb didn't lose his job for making a controversial statement about race - that was Limbaugh. Therefore, the real victim of the times is not the Black man who claims the media is against him, but the White man who implies that the media is all for the Black man. And apparently you can get fired from some jobs for saying this.
